Emily Schuman is an award-winning documentary producer and filmmaker currently co-directing the short film Sonia and producing the feature documentary Finding Fanny. Her directorial debut, When I'm Her, a co-production with ITVS, follows the double life of a dancer who inhabits his alter ego, Madame Olga. Emily also co-produced Judy Blume Forever, which premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival and was released on Amazon Prime. Her other credits include The Stroll (Sundance 2023), Mission Possible (National Geographic 2021), The Disrupted (DOK.fest Munich 2020), True Believer (streaming on The Atlantic), and The Witmans (Discovery). Emily began her career as a camera assistant and is a member of IATSE Local 600.
